During this crazy time there is one thing that never changes. God's Word never changes.
Matthew 24:35 NLT Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.
Here are seven scriptures that will encourage you and remind you of God's unconditional love for you.
1 Peter 5:6-7 NLT So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
God does not design the situations of our life to break us but to make us. We are to move from trusting in our own resources and trusting in our strategies for life, to resting in God and His resources. God is willing and able to carry the heaviest burden for us. When you are under pressure from worry, stop, take a breath and relax in God’s grace.
Matthew 11:28 NLT2 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Jesus said to come to Him… It is amazing that He is willing to take my burdens away, to bear that weight so I don’t have to. He will take you through this, His glory will be so evident once all of this is over.
2 Timothy 1:7 NLT For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
You don’t have to fear or be timid. You can love others, unapologetically, and not worry about anything else but God’s glory… which is sometimes hard to do in the world... but remember that His Spirit lives in you and He wants you to live without fear and with love and self-discipline.
Philippians 4:6-7 NLT Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
This is much easier said than done but you can know this peace. When you take hold of this promise you can know that when you lay your problems at the feet of Jesus, they are no longer your problems, they are His. It doesn’t mean you never worry because you’re human, but it is much easier to turn it back to prayer or praise when you do start to worry again. You can know that when you come to Jesus with everything, with every detail of your life because He loves you so much that He wants to spend time with you.
Romans 8:18 NLT Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.
This will give you hope when you go through your most difficult times. No you have probably not suffered like Paul did when he was writing this letter to Rome. You have probably never been beaten or thrown in jail like He was for declaring Jesus as your Savior. But you have suffered through different things in your life. You know that this world is not your home, that spending eternity with Jesus will be worth everything you’ve had to go through in this life.
Hebrews 10:36 NLT Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.
This scripture is for those who are not patient people. It will remind you to be patient, to wait on the Lord, that uncertain times are for His not your glory. You have to continue trusting in Him and His Will to receive all that He has promised you.
No matter what things look like for you right now, I pray you rest in these truths: God will keep His promises. His love will never fail. He will never forsake or leave you. He is/always will be there when you need Him.
Hebrews 13:5 NLT2 Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”
