Psalm 1:1-6 (NIV) Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord , and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

Psalm 1 like many of the 150 contrasts the "righteous" person with the "wicked" or "ungodly" or the "sinner". The righteous person is one who takes care to know the laws of God and so has good judgment and avoids bad company. The result is the ability to withstand difficult times under God’s protection. The wicked person's behavior makes them vulnerable to disaster. At the final judgement there will be absolutely no contact between the righteous and wicked where the wicked will receive the consequences of their choice which will be eternal separation from God.
There is however hope for the wicked in Jesus Christ who came to earth to sacrifice Himself for the sin of all mankind even the wicked, which at one time included all of us..
When we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior we become one of the righteous.
Romans 3:21-23 (HCSB)21 But now, apart from the law, God’s righteousness has been revealed—attested by the Law and the Prophets22 —that is, God’s righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ, to all who believe, since there is no distinction.23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 5:1 (HCSB) Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
