We find ourselves right in the middle of a bustling primary season. Turn on any screen, look at any local billboard, or open your mailbox, and the message is inescapable: the midterm elections are just a few months away. The volume is turning up, the rhetoric is sharpening, and the cultural pressure to pick a side, build a wall of division, and view our neighbors through a purely partisan lens is stronger than ever.
As Christians, it is easy to get swept up in this current. We care deeply about our communities, our nation, and the future. But when we allow the political machinery of our world to dictate how we think, speak, and vote, we risk trading our eternal birthright for a temporary, earthly platform. Scripture calls us to a completely different framework. We are reminded that our primary citizenship is not of this world.

Our ultimate hope does not rest on who wins the next congressional seat or local office; our hope is securely anchored in the unshakeable Kingdom of God.
